October 2019: Thanks for all who joined us at the Taste of New England. This bi-annual event hosted by the New England and the Nutmeg IFT sections celebrates the best in the food industry in the Northeast.
April closed out our calendar year of meetings with our annual joint New York, Nutmeg IFT meeting at Pepsico. Our speaker talked about the role of nutrient profiling in innovation.
March saw our annual student night were we recognized high school science fair winners, as well as our Graduate Scholarship awarded to Suliaman Aljasir .
February was warmed up in Waterbury with a chocolate making demonstration and tour at Fascia’s.
In November we enjoyed learning about the beer making process and the progression of smaller independent breweries at Half Full in Stamford.
We enjoyed a lively discussion on Food Service Trends at Elm City Social in New Haven.
We started off the year in October having a lovely time at Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford wine tasting.
April brought us another excellent year end meeting at Pepsico with the New York section.
We celebrated the future innovators in food science at our student night in April awarding 2 graduate scholarships and 3 science fair prizes.
We warmed our hearts and our minds this January at Banc house in Norwalk.
October saw a wine tasting at the breathtaking Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford.
We started the year off right in September with a day of giving donating food and profits to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission and enjoying some Tapas at Barcelona in Fairfield.
